* i used the cookie cup recipe for the first batch as straight cookie cups the way kevin & amanda show on their blog. since i only needed a few cups, there was enough spare dough to tinker w. and make the CCC cookies shown above

on a related note:
* i used justin’s almond butter in the mixture the first time i made these and found them to be too crumbly. the magic happens with a no-stir nut butter
* chopped dark chocolate chunks were a good choice in the almond butter mix. whole foods carries mini dark chocolate chunks (365 brand) and enjoy life makes great vegan mini semi sweet chips

a vegan adaptation of this wheat germ chocolate chip cookie recipe @ mad about maida. many thanks for the inspiration!
on a related note:
* the short tale: whole foods has stopped stocking wheat germ in bulk so i substituted wheat bran, changing a crispy cookie into chewy one. not what i was after but still very good.
* i had to add an additional few teaspoons of nondairy milk to the dough (wheat bran absorbs a lot of liquid)

crispy edges, fell a bit flat, best eaten warm. the cookie sheet might was too warm from the previous batch. i’ll try this recipe again w. a cool sheet & slightly more flour.
